As your registered agent, we accept service of process, legal correspondence, and official state notifications on behalf of your company. When your documents are accepted by our staff, they are immediately scanned into your digital client account. You are notified the same day and made aware of any service of process or other time-sensitive correspondence.

In compliance with state law, we:

  • Maintain a physical office location (registered office)
  • Keep regular business hours
  • Forward all documents to you in a timely manner

Why Should I Hire a Vermont Registered Agent?

Compliance Monitoring

As your registered agent, we monitor all of your state compliance requirements, such as your annual report due dates, and notify you of all upcoming deadlines. Missing compliance due dates can lead to the Secretary of State revoking your business authority.

Reputation Protection

Many businesses elect to be their own registered agent and are then understandably embarrassed when lawsuits are served at their place of business right in front of their customers. Even the most upstanding businesses can become party to lawsuits. By hiring us as your registered agent, service of process comes to our office, not yours. Litigation is never served in front of your customers.

Additional Privacy

The name and address of your registered agent is part of the public record. When you appoint yourself as your registered agent, you have to provide either your physical business address or your home address, depending on where you work. Many entrepreneurs are understandably skeptical of having their name and address in the public record. Hiring a professional registered agent prevents this from happening. It’s our name and address in the record, not yours.

Why Hire Us?

If you’re looking for a Vermont registered agent service, you’ve probably noticed there are plenty of options. Some services are major international corporations. Others are ma-and-pa joints working out of their homes. Some offer high prices (and even higher promises). Others claim their prices are absolutely rock-bottom (but often hit you with higher prices next year).

We’ve been in this business for some time now and we’ve come to notice a few trends. Many business owners start with the larger corporations that claim top-of-the-line service, only to discover that when you’re one of a million customers you really are just a number. Unhappy with this discovery, they take their money elsewhere.

Some folks start with the cheapest service they can find, not fully understanding what happens when your registered agent isn’t reliable. These businesses often end up in legal trouble later on when they receive the cheap service they paid for.

What we offer all of our customers is this: high-quality service at a reasonable price. We’re not the cheapest registered agent service in Vermont, because we employ a well-trained and knowledgeable staff and we like to pay them well. But we’re not the biggest registered agent service in the state either, because we really have no interest in doing business outside of Vermont. And we continue to invest in providing you with high-quality resources, too:  when you hire us, you get a custom domain name, website, and email address, along with SSL security for your website and a Vermont phone line for your business to help keep your personal number private.

To us, every customer is important. We work to build long-lasting relationships with our clients. We believe this is and always has been the best way to run a company.
